LET’S GO!

Cross Church is starting a two-year initiative to fuel ministry, strengthen discipleship, expand Gospel presence, and advance outreach locally, nationally, and globally.

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations...”

— Matthew 28:19

Initiative Overview

Why Let’s Go? Why Now?

Across North America, churches are closing at an unprecedented rate. Every closed church represents a Gospel witness that has been extinguished.

At Cross Church, we believe every fault line is a front line for ministry. God has uniquely positioned our church to step into these places with strength, courage, and resources.

Let’s Go is our response to Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19–20.

LET'S GO!

A 7-Week Devotional Journey

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations..." — Matthew 28:19

Your Progress

of 7 weeks completed

About This Devotional

Across North America, churches are closing at an unprecedented rate. Every closed church represents a Gospel witness that has been extinguished. At Cross Church, we believe every fault line is a front line for ministry. Let's Go is our response to Jesus' command in Matthew 28:19-20.

This 7-week devotional will guide you through prayer, Scripture, and reflection as we prepare our hearts for what God is calling Cross Church to do locally, nationally, and globally.

Weekly Devotions

Scripture Reading

"And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'"

— Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV)

The Foundation of Our Mission

The Great Commission is not a suggestion—it's a command from the risen Christ. Before Jesus tells us to go, He reminds us that all authority has been given to Him. We don't go in our own strength; we go in His power and under His authority.

At Cross Church, we've seen God do remarkable things when we step out in obedience. Our Phoenix location grew from zero to over 150 people. Cornville began with 12 and saw more baptized in one day than originally attended. El Mirage grew from zero to 200+ in under two years.

This isn't about us—it's about the authority of Jesus at work through His people. When we say "Let's Go," we're saying yes to the One who holds all authority.

Reflection Questions

  • 1. What does it mean to you that Jesus has "all authority"?
  • 2. Where is God calling you to "go" in your everyday life?
  • 3. How does knowing Jesus is "with you always" change how you approach His mission?

Prayer

Lord Jesus, You have all authority in heaven and on earth. Help me to trust Your power as I respond to Your call to go. Open my eyes to see the opportunities You've placed before me to make disciples. Thank You for the promise that You are with me always. Amen.

Scripture Reading

"For 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.' How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!'"

— Romans 10:13-15 (ESV)

Beautiful Feet

Paul's logic in this passage is powerful and convicting. People cannot be saved if they do not call on Jesus. They cannot call on Him if they don't believe. They cannot believe if they haven't heard. They cannot hear without someone telling them. And no one will go unless they are sent.

The chain of salvation depends on ordinary people with willing hearts saying, "Here I am, Lord. Send me." God doesn't call the qualified—He qualifies the called. Your feet become beautiful when they carry the good news to someone who desperately needs to hear it.

Churches across North America are closing their doors every week. Each one represents people who may never hear the Gospel unless we go. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Will you be one who goes?

Reflection Questions

  • 1. Who in your life needs to hear the Gospel? Write down their names.
  • 2. What holds you back from sharing your faith with others?
  • 3. How can you develop more compassion for those who don't know Jesus?

Prayer

Father, give me Your heart for the lost. Help me see people the way You see them—precious souls for whom Christ died. Make my feet beautiful as I carry the good news to those around me. Remove my fear and fill me with boldness to share the hope I have in You. Amen.

Scripture Reading

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

— Joshua 1:9 (ESV)

Commanded Courage

Notice that God commands Joshua to be courageous. This tells us something important: courage is not the absence of fear, but obedience in spite of fear. Joshua was about to lead Israel into the Promised Land—a land filled with fortified cities and giant warriors. He had every reason to be afraid.

Yet God didn't say, "Don't worry, it will be easy." He said, "Be strong and courageous because I am with you." The same God who parted the Red Sea and brought water from rocks would go before Joshua. The same God goes before us today.

When Cross Church stepped out to plant in Phoenix, there was no guarantee of success. When we went to Cornville and El Mirage, we faced uncertainty. But God was faithful. He is calling us to step out again—to places where the Gospel witness has been extinguished. Will we go with courage?

Reflection Questions

  • 1. What fears are holding you back from fully following God's call?
  • 2. How has God proven Himself faithful in your past?
  • 3. What step of faith is God calling you to take right now?

Prayer

Lord, I confess that fear often paralyzes me. Help me remember that You command courage because You promise Your presence. Give me the strength to step out in faith, knowing that You go before me. May my obedience honor You, regardless of the outcome. Amen.

Scripture Reading

"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken."

— Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (ESV)

Stronger Together

The Great Commission was given to a community, not just individuals. Jesus didn't send out lone rangers—He sent disciples in pairs and groups. The early church went together, served together, and suffered together. There's power in partnership.

One of our goals for Let's Go is 100% engagement. This isn't about financial pressure—it's about every person at Cross Church fully participating in what God is doing. When we all lock arms and step forward together, we become an unstoppable force for the Gospel.

You are not alone in this mission. Your Bible Group, your serve team, your church family—we're all in this together. One church, one mission, one initiative. Let's go together.

Reflection Questions

  • 1. Are you currently connected to a Bible Group or serve team? If not, what's holding you back?
  • 2. Who has God placed in your life to encourage you in your faith journey?
  • 3. How can you be more engaged in the life and mission of Cross Church?

Prayer

Father, thank You for the gift of community. Help me not to walk this journey alone but to lock arms with my brothers and sisters in Christ. Show me how to be more engaged in the mission of our church. May we be a threefold cord that cannot be broken. Amen.

Scripture Reading

"The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work."

— 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (ESV)

Cheerful Generosity

Let's Go is first about discipleship, not dollars. But here's the truth: how we handle our resources reveals the condition of our hearts. Jesus said, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 6:21). Generosity is an act of faith and worship.

For the next two years, every gift at Cross Church will flow into one unified fund called Let's Go. This approach reflects the reality that everything we do is connected—weekly ministry, discipleship, community outreach, location expansion, and global missions all move forward together.

Your commitment isn't just a financial decision; it's an act of faith. It's trusting God, stepping forward together, and investing in what He is calling Cross Church to do. Every gift matters as we Make Jesus Known.

Reflection Questions

  • 1. What does your giving reveal about your heart's priorities?
  • 2. Are you giving cheerfully or reluctantly? What would need to change?
  • 3. What is God asking you to trust Him with during this initiative?

Prayer

Lord, everything I have comes from You. Help me to hold my resources with open hands, ready to give as You direct. Transform any reluctance in my heart into cheerful generosity. I trust that You are able to make all grace abound so that I may abound in every good work. Amen.

Scripture Reading

"May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations."

— Psalm 67:1-2 (ESV)

Blessed to Be a Blessing

This psalm reveals God's heart for the nations. When we ask for God's blessing, it's not meant to stop with us. We are blessed so that "His way may be known on earth, His saving power among all nations." God's blessing flows through us to reach the world.

Cross Church is passionate about reaching the nations with the Gospel. Through Let's Go, we will support international locations and missionary partners across the world. We're committed to taking Jesus to places we could never reach alone.

You can't spell Gospel without the word "Go." The same Jesus who commanded us to make disciples of all nations is at work through Cross Church to do just that. Your prayers, your engagement, and your generosity all contribute to this global mission.

Reflection Questions

  • 1. How has God blessed you? How can those blessings flow through you to others?
  • 2. Do you regularly pray for missionaries and unreached people groups?
  • 3. Is God calling you to go on a mission trip or support global missions in a new way?

Prayer

Father, Your heart beats for every nation, tribe, and tongue. Thank You for blessing me—now help me be a channel of blessing to others. Expand my vision beyond my own community to the nations. Use Cross Church to take Jesus to places we could never reach alone. Amen.

Scripture Reading

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing."

— 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (ESV)

Eyes on the Prize

Paul wrote these words from a Roman prison, facing execution. Yet there's no despair—only confidence and hope. He had fought the good fight. He had finished the race. He had kept the faith. And he knew a crown of righteousness awaited him.

Let's Go is about the next two years—April 2026 through April 2028. But the impact will last for eternity. Churches will be revitalized. The Gospel will reach new communities. Lives will be transformed. And when we stand before Jesus, we want to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

This isn't a sprint; it's a marathon. Faithfulness today leads to eternal impact. As you've journeyed through these seven weeks, God has been preparing your heart. Now it's time to commit. Pray. Engage. Give. Let's finish well together.

Reflection Questions

  • 1. What has God spoken to you through this devotional journey?
  • 2. What specific commitments are you making for Let's Go?
  • 3. How will you stay faithful over the next two years?

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I want to finish well. Help me to fight the good fight, run the race with perseverance, and keep the faith. I commit to praying, engaging, and giving as You lead. Use me and Cross Church for Your glory. May many come to know You because we said, "Let's Go!" Amen.
