Frequently Asked Questions
What time are services at Cross Church Surprise?
Services are Sunday 9:00 AM & 10:30 AM (Arizona time).
Where is Cross Church Surprise located?
Cross Church Surprise meets at 17475 W Bell Rd, Surprise, AZ 85374.
Does Cross Church Surprise teach the Bible?
Yes. We are rooted in God's Word for today's world. We preach expositionally: verse by verse, book by book, and Christ-centered, so every sermon points to Jesus. We don't pick topics we like, and the text doesn't let us sidestep the things we'd rather not say. The week after each sermon, Bible Groups study the same passage together so you can go deeper.
What is a Sunday service like at Cross Church Surprise?
Every service follows the 4Ps: pray, praise, preach, and practice. We take one truth from Scripture. We pray God's Word back to Him together. We sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs that carry the Word of Christ, because singing isn't the warm-up; it's part of the teaching. We preach the passage verse by verse. Then we practice it, because Sunday doesn't end in the parking lot. It ends in your kitchen, on your job site, in a text you send Tuesday night. Services run about 65-70 minutes.
What denomination is Cross Church Surprise?
Cross Church is a Southern Baptist church; our legal name is Palm Vista Southern Baptist Church. We are one church at multiple locations across Arizona, focused on making Jesus known through biblical, relevant, and missional ministry.
What happens in a Cross Church service?
Every service is built around a passage of Scripture, and we move through it in four ways we call the four Ps: we Pray through it, Praise through it, and Preach through it, so that we can Practice it as we go about our weeks. Expect a warm welcome, contemporary worship, and a practical, Bible-based message.
