Rooted in Discipleship
Today we gather around God's Word to pray through, praise through, and preach through a piece of scripture so that we can practice the Word of God through discipleship.
Colossians 2:6-7a
So then, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in him, being rooted and built up in him
God, help me be rooted despite ________.
Our God Reigns
He's seated in glory, enthroned on our praise Come join with the song of the saints sing our God reigns, reigns forever
Why we sing it We remember we are in community with one another which leads to realizing the God who reigns above all.
Blessed Assurance
This is my story, this is my song / Praising my Savior all the day long
Why we sing it When we live out our faith, discipleship starts with understanding that the Word of God should be on our lips throughout our day.
All Hail King Jesus
Let every knee, come bow before the King of Kings / Let every tongue, confess that He is Lord
Why we sing it Jesus sits on His throne even when the winds of life come, may we be rooted in Him and His lordship over every aspect of our lives.
Our God Reigns
He stormed into hell and took back the keys / What He did for freedom, He's doing for me
Why we sing it We celebrate with our brothers and sisters in baptism and proclaim that discipleship is putting these truths into practice.
